philosophy-ness

so i like thinking and different ways of thinking and deep conversations that require thought, etc...
i had to take theory of knowledge in high school. i really enjoyed it, but didn't have to do too much other than sit there and talk to friends, or feel like the nerd and actually discuss things.
anyways. i have to take a philosophy class for my major so i was pretty excited to be in one. i had that class today and i felt nothing shy of incredibly intimated. my professor was shooting out names left and right of philosophers i hadn't heard of in my life. a 6-10 page term paper? journals? i felt better when the girl behind me asked if this was alright if it was our first philosophy class, since he kept referencing classes that come before this one, and he said yes. i was also very happy to hear him say that he first taught at the catholic university of america. hopefully it's safe to assume from that that he is not one of the liberal bigots that are swarming this country... or the world, rather. because frankly, it's making me sick. this class is mainly on skepticism and i was excited that we will cover a bit of theology here and there. i think that is the stem of all mindsets and opinions. it will also be nice to be able to have a real discussion of god in a classroom, since that was a big nono in highschool.
i just hope i dont let my procrastination take hold of me for this class. thoughhhh i know i probably will.

also, oh so caring russell house employees, when i say i want everything but onions and tomatoes on my gyro, that means i still want olives.

  1. you'll never be able to deconstruct the world unless you're at least a little liberal...

  2. i don't have to be a liberal bigot, though.
