friday night i come home from a show
eager to edit some photos that i took
well. my computer doesn't work.
TURNS OUT THE HARDDRIVE IS SHOT
out of no where
did some stuff, apple guy said i'd be able to get my files off of it
then i'd have to send it to apple to get a new hard drive
well.
they can't get anything off of my hard drive
ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE GONE.

it's actually something i'm kind of good at
i will never get the high resolution photos back
so much for ever making prints like i wanted to.
i feel like i've just lost a part of me.

can something just work out for me for once?

oh my god sarah, that is seriously the shits. as someone who's had his hard drive (containing tons & tons of photos) lost unexpectedly before, i know you're probably curled up in a ball right now on the floor not even knowing how to react. after the initial shock subsides though the best you can hope for is feeling a little bit less attached to something that probably had you anchored down hardcore, and get started on filling up your next hard drive in Chapter 2 of Sarah Kobos: photographess extraordinaire. i know you had some srsly great art going on there, but ya just gotta take the blank canvas that the god (steve jobs) just handed you, and do somethin even greater with it
ReplyDeleteyeahh, there is still a little bit of hope that some company or apple can get my stuff, but maybe its a sign that a)i need to not be dumb and back my stuff up and/or b)that film photography is the way to go because ive been wanting/trying to start getting into that. technology sucks right about now!
